Thomas D. Kohn (shareholder) was born in Baltimore, Maryland on May 14, 1961. Tom earned his B.A., with honors, in 1983 from the University of Pennsylvania, and his J.D. in 1986 from the University of Maryland School of Law.

Tom focuses his practice on Business and Corporate Law, Civil and Commercial Litigation and Franchise Law. During his career, Tom has developed both the business and legal skills which allow him to anticipate client needs before legal consequences arise.  Tom's skills in the areas of business law and litigation allow him to assist business owners and corporate leaders in navigating the complicated issues they face in today's constantly changing business environment.

In 2006, Tom was honored by being selected as a "Smart CEO Maryland Legal Elite" in the practice area of Business Law.  This award for excellence in the law was bestowed as a result of Tom's nomination by colleagues, clients, business owners and industry leaders. Tom was also selected as a 2007 Maryland "Super Lawyer" in the area of Business/Corporate law, an honor afforded to only five percent (5%) of Maryland attorneys each year.    

A Baltimore native, Tom is, and has been, active with many community and charitable organizations. His activities include membership on the Board of Directors of the Baltimore Jewish Community Center, Board of Trustees of Beth El Congregation, and the Professional Ethics Committee of the Bar Association of Baltimore City.

Tom lives in Lutherville with his wife, Shari, a pediatric dentist, and their children, Rachel and A.J.
